Mahabodhi Residential School have celebrated the annual day celebration and the inauguration of the Pre Nursery Wing called the FUNdamentals onthe 31st of Oct, 2017.
Besides all the wonderful parents of the students and the members of Mahabodhi, large number of distinguished guests were present in the celebration, Sh. Tsering Dorjey, Honble Minister for cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs, Govt of J & K Sh. Dorjey Motup Hon’ble Executive Councillor education LAHDC Leh, Sh. Nawang Rigzin Jora, Hon’ble MLA and President CLP in J & K Assembly, Ms. Avny Lavasa (IAS) Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner Leh, Ms. Sargun Shukla (IPS) Hon’ble SSP Leh, Most Ven. Lobzang Nyantak, Hon’ble Councellor LAHDC Leh, Shri P.T Kunzang, Hon’ble Vice President of Ladakh Buddhist Association and many other esteemed dignitaries were present.
Honorable Minister expressed that everyone should recognize, appreciate and support the noble services render by Mahabodhi.
Shri . Rigzin Jora has as always appreciated Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena the service being rendered by him. He said his highest respect goes to Bhikkhu Sanghasena for the selfless compassion, profound vision and the unreserved services which even the Government couldn’t do.

The annual MIMC Senior Citizens day was observed on the 9th of November, 2017 at the Mahabodhi Senior Citizens Home which was attended by many esteemed dignitaries both from Ladakh and outside Ladakh. On the occasion Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena along with the esteemed dignitaries launched a special program called the "one day meal donation program" which is specifically meant for Ladakhis to contribute their bit in running the senior citizens Home.
The "One day Meal Donation" includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea for 35 inmates of the senior Citizens Home counting to an amount of Rs.7,000. People can donate it by choosing a special occasion such as birthdays and anniversaries or any other auspicious day.

Ven. Sanghasena visited all the way from Ladakh Himalaya to Germany specially for this much awaited day that is the 20th Glorious anniversary Celebration of Lotos Vihara Berlin Germany. It was on this day, 20 years ago, Dr. Wilfred Reuter started the Lotos Vihara with blessing and guidance of famous German nun, Most Ven. Ayya Khema. The centre is situated in the heart of Berlin and today the centre offers various spiritual programs for the seekers of truth and lovers of peace. The program started with beautiful and serine prayer in Pali led by Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena followed by Metta chanting in both Pali and German language. On this auspicious day, Ven.Sanghasena also initiated the three refuge and five precepts which all the participants devotedly took. On the occasion, Dr. Wilfred Reuter explained the journey of Lotos Vihara since its inception. Speaking on the occasion, Ven. Sanghasena also described how he met first time Ven. Ayya Khema at Buddha Haus and since then Buddha Haus, Metta Vihara and Lotos Vihara have been part and parcel of the development of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre. He expressed his deep appreciation to all the sponsors, donors and well-wishers of Mahabodhi through Buddha Haus, Metta Vihara and Lotos Vihara. On the occasion, he presented a Relic, A Certificate of Appreciation and Khatags to Dr. Wilfred Reuter, Madam Jutta. He also conveyed his deep thanks and congratulations to all the Hon'ble members of Lotos Vihara on this special day. The day is also observed as the Vesak Celebration. The members presented a series of beautiful & heart touching Spiritual Songs, Mantra' and a beautiful play....

Mr. Olaf Raschke, the Lord Mayor of the beautiful city of Meissen of Saxony state of Germany came and Visited Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena at the Dharma Chakra Buddhist Centre.. The two leaders meet and had a long discussion in which both of them discussed some various important issues and to work together for world Peace through various interfaith Dialogues and Discussions. The Lord Mayor particularly appreciated the efforts of Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena in creating a better society and better world by launching the movement of Mahakaruna Day Celebrations worldwide.. He also thanked ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena for travelling all the way to his city from the high himalaya's and bringing the message of Mahakaruna- Great Compassion..

Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena was invited by the Mayor of the Zittau for a cup of tea. The two leader's had a wonderful discussion on a wide range of issues including the importance of spirituality in today's society & the various ways and means to promote spirituality in today’s societies.
MoU Signed between MIMC, SHF & Department Water Management and Soil Protection, Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Projection and Technical University of Munich, Germany
An important meeting was held at a Buddhist centre in Munich, Germany on 9th May, 2017 between the Department Water Management and Soil Protection, Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Projection and Technical University of Munich, Germany with Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena, the founder President of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) and Save the Himalaya Foundation (SHF), New Delhi. The two parties from Germany sign a MoU with the two organizations in India (MIMC & SHF) to undertake a research project to address the Urban Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus approach is an integrated urban planning approach offering cities a more sustainable future development pathway.
The research study aims to analyse the viability of urban waste water recycling and reuse in Leh, taking the MIMC campus Devachan as a case study. The study is being funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Environment and consumer Projection and implemented by the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
